Our faculty selected some of their star readers to serve as mascots for our Read a Thon this year. Read on to hear their thoughts about their students!
Middle School
Angie P. is always excited about reading and discovering new books! She enthusiastically engages in our class novels, and has her own selection of novels that she enjoys reading at home. Angie often shares her excitement with me and her friends during ELA sessions and community time. I am very proud of the mature reader she has developed into!
Ms. Turnbull, 7th-8th
Elementary School
Larissa G. has a true excitement for reading! She is as enthusiastic about choosing a book as she is to tell me what it was about once she has finished. She reads a wide variety of genres and worked hard this year to continue to improve her reading and comprehension skills.
Ms. Kelleher, 3rd-4th
Primary School
Zoe T. is the kind of student every teacher hopes they get. She is an eager learner and watches me read to the class with eyes that would pop out if they could. She has grown into a brave reader with a beautifully imaginative mind. Keep your eyes on Zoe!
Ms. Sandrich, Kindergarten
Early Education
Joseph has a personal discipline in looking at books and enjoys our story time. He is excited to visit Ms. Downey in the library each week!
Ms. Maria, Pre-Kindergarten
Our students have a goal of reading at least 10 pages a day from March 15 - April 19 - that's 10 pages a day for 33 days!
